CELEBS Go Dating star Eden Blackman has died following a “long illness”;, his family has confirmed.
A post on Eden’s official Instagram account this evening paid a heartbreaking tribute to the dating expert and TV star.


Alongside a smiling picture of it read: “We are heartbroken to share that our beloved Eden passed away on 21 June 2025, after carrying a long illness with quiet grace.
“Eden blazed through life with charm, mischief and a fire that was entirely his own, magnetic, stylish, sharp, impossibly handsome and always up for the adventure.
“Music was his first love and constant companion, a pulse that shaped who he was, and he carved his path through that world with instinct, passion and deep care for the people he worked with.
“Later he brought that same energy and wild spark to television, helping others shine. He championed people with sincerity, humour and encouragement, always wanting others to feel seen at their best.
“To know Eden was to be caught in his orbit â fun, unpredictable, vivid and full of life. He stood proud, laughed loudly and lived as only he could. We’ll carry his spirit with us always.
“We ask for privacy as we find our way through this loss, and thank you for your love and kindness.”;
Tributes came flooding in from shocked friends and followers.
His Celebs Go Dating successor Paul C. Brunson wrote: “Sending love and deepest condolences. I never met Eden, but we were forever linked through Celebs Go Dating. He showed me kindness when he didn’t have to, and I’ll never forget it. May he rest in paradise.”;
Show co-star Tom Read Wilson said: “This is so very sad. I will always be hugely grateful for his kindness and generosity of spirit. My deepest condolences at this heartbreaking time. Xx.”;
Pop star Example posted: “Eden believed in me years before I had any playlist action at the big radio stations. Many fond memories. A truly unique energy. Big love x.”;
This Morning’s Dr Zoe Williams wrote: “Sorry to hear this and I hope that you will find comfort in knowing that he is now at peace.”;
Another follower wrote: “This is sad news. Rest easy, Eden.”;
A second fan said: “What a huge shock. I’m so sorry for your loss. Sending copious amounts of love.”;
Eden found fame as a dating expert on Celebs Go Dating, starring in the E4 show’s first four series alongside Nadia Essex and Tom Read Wilson.
He announced his departure from the programme in March 2018, stating a desire to pursue other projects.
Eden said at the time: “I’m immensely proud of the show’s success but after four great series, it’s now time for me to fully commit to my other projects â 2018 will see me relaunch my dating app ‘Would Like to Meet’ and also marks the 18th year of my music PR agency â these remain my biggest passionsand take up a great deal of my time.
“On top of this, I’m also in the process of developing afurther new business that is yet to be announced... so it’s a really exciting time.I’m thankful to everyone at Lime Pictures and C4 for the opportunity.
“I’ve had a great time andfollowing its best-rated series to date, wish them nothing but more success for the show moving forwards.”;
In 2020 with former co-star Essex and a prolonged campaign of harassment online as a result.
He said that at his lowest point the ordeal had left him suicidal and he was diagnosed wit h PTSD.
Essex signed a harassment order preventing her from mentioning Eden and said afterwards: “I chose the wrong path. But, I’m human. And now I know better.”;
He has kept a low profile on social media in recent years with his last post coming five years ago when he rang in New Year 2021.
He wrote: “It’s been a wild year, but I’m beyond grateful for the support of my family, friends and followers as we consign this year to the trash.
“Tonight we can say goodbye to 2020 and prepare for the good times I truly hope we all enjoy in 2021 and beyond.”;
